The Otter class is a community of 16 students in first and second grade, their teacher, and other ELC assistants.   The Otters are part of the wider community children, teachers, and families who make up the Early Learning Community at Pacific University. Student teachers from the Pacific University Master of Arts in Teaching program are also part of the teaching team.

A description of our program elements and our teaching approaches may be found on our school website, and the Otter Days blog offers a window into how these are expressed in the day-to-day activities and experiences of the children.

Our teacher is Kailey Estevez, who holds a Master of Arts in Teaching, Early Childhood-Elementary, from Pacific University, and Oregon licensure in early childhood through elementary grades.

We welcome the family and friends of our students to visit our school and be a part of what happens here.  Please contact Ms. Kailey to make arrangements for spending time in our classroom.
