Seed Planting- March 10
/Today we examined and planted sunflower, pea, and bell pepper seeds. We made predictions about which would sprout soonest. We also discussed how to use tally marks to record data. We read a book about seeds and another book about scientific journals. We also continued reading James and Giant Peach. During writer’s workshop some students worked on finishing their animal research books. Others started writing new stories. Of course, freeze tag and rock crystal hunting were popular activities during our outside choice time. We also drew illustrations to accompany our daily schedule.
