Bread Feast

Yesterday afternoon we joyfully gathered for a whole school bread feast. Each class baked a specific type of bread to share with the community. Teachers read the story The Little Red Hen and then the whole school met in the atelier (art room) to sing Down to the Baker Shop. After a shared reading and singing, students got to visit with others from different classes as we enjoyed bread baked by each class. We got to sample gingerbread, cheese bread, cinnamon swirl bread, focaccia, and banana bread. This sweet winter tradition felt joyful as we read, sang, visited, and dined all together.
