Friendship Celebration
/Last week was full of friendship, laughter, and sherbet fun! Students finished decorating their valentines boxes and on Wednesday afternoon we had a friendship celebration. In preparation for the celebration students worked with Ms. Paige to read a recipe and carefully measure out ingredients to make cookies. We discussed equivalent fractions and the importance of precise measurements. During the celebration students distributed friendship cards to classmates. We enjoyed eating the delicious chocolate chip cookies as we read notes from friends. Outside this week a group of students organized a sherbet stand and sold pretend sherbet to eager customers. This week Ms. Alicia played Dinotracks with small groups of students to reinforcement place value concepts. We also finished our Sharpie Line Doodle Art pieces and continued adding to our 100 Acts of Kindness Wall. We are up to 56 acts of kindness so far!
